Books that can read to you from the grave, Recordable Storybooks

Recordable Storybooks

Here’s something cool that I’m about to turn freaky pretty quick. They’re called ‘Recordable Storybooks’.

They all started when someone thought it would be a good idea to have a book read to you in the voice of someone you know, like your Grandma for example. Every Christmas she’d read to you your favorite story book, and those bad winters when she couldn’t make it to town, you could still hear her voice read that book to you just the way you remember it. Simply press the button and Grandma reads the story just the way she always does.

But now that time has passed, you’re getting a little older, and grandma’s getting a little older too.

I think you know where I’m going with this.

Let’s fast forward down the road. You’re an adult and you find your favorite childhood Christmas book in a moving box.

Would you press the play button?

My generation never had the luxury of pressing a play button, but these days with facebook and inventions like this, it definitely makes the world a lot smaller and puts you a lot closer to everyone. And it seems now with recordable storybooks, there’s always something left to remember them by.
