These may look like the medical plasma bags you’d find in a hospital but they’re not. They are something so much cooler. Literally.

Dr Cool and Dr Hot are actually thermal packs designed to help you recover from your aches and pains from a hard days work or a long night out.

Dr Cool can be kept in the freezer for when you need it. The cooling gel stays cold for a real long time giving you a constant supply of cool to keep on your sore muscles. Dr Hot on the other hand can heat up with the press of a button found inside the bag. Don’t ask me how that works, I believe it’s some sort of voodoo magic. To recharge the bag, simply boil in water for 10 minutes after use and it’s ready to go again.

Amazing!

Okay, it’s not really magic. I did some reasearch and here’s how Dr Hot Bags work:

Each pack contains sodium acetate and water. Sodium acetate is very good at supercooling. It “freezes” at 130 degrees F or 54 degrees C, but it is happy to exist as a liquid at a much lower temperature and is extremely stable. Clicking the disk, has the ability to force a few molecules to flip to the solid state, and the rest of the liquid then rushes to solidify as well. The temperature of the solidifying liquid jumps up to 130 degrees F or 54 degrees C in the process.

When you boil the solid you melt it back to the liquid state. You have to completely melt every crystal or the liquid will quickly re-solidify. You can repeat this cycle thousands of times, just as you can freeze and melt water as many times as you like.

Now that IS amazing. Science!

Personally, in my honest opinion, no skirt is too short, but this cool gadget will give you it’s honest opinion on just how short your skirt really is and what your skirt really says about you.

Simply slide on the tights and let your skirt hang down to see how you measure up.

Is your skirt too daring? Too seductive or just right? Will wearing this skirt to work get you fired or get you that promotion you’ve been hoping for?

Maybe your wondering if your skirt looks like you belong in little house on the prairie. Don’t worry, the tights will let you know.

These tights know everything. All knowing tights.

Freaky.

Awhile ago we checked out the Pickmaster, a plectrum punch available in the UK. Recently however, we discovered the original Pick Punch that was invented years prior to the Pickmaster. The original Pick Punch was created by inventor Von Luhmann in the United States and it’s one of the most unique inventions we’ve reviewed here on One More Gadget.

The Pick Punch is very well made and very well designed. It’s a heavy duty product made to punch several guitar picks without putting too much stress on your hands. One thing I noticed was how easily it pops the guitar picks out giving them a nice crisp edge.

The Pick Punch is available in 351 size and Jazz size which are a little bit smaller, but just as sweet. Each pick punch comes with a mini sanding block, which is perfect for getting those fine soft edges. With a gadget like this, you’ll never run out of guitar picks ever again.

There are also several types of materials for sale on the pick punch website that are perfect for making your own guitar picks. You can even find tips and tricks on how to make your own custom photo guitar picks for a very unique and personal gift.

What an amazing invention. I anticipate this gadget will be available worldwide in every music store very soon. So make sure you call your local music store and tell them to carry The Pick Punch!

The geniuses from SuckUK have done it again. They’ve taken the “hard work” out of blackmail with this handy postcard kit. True, capturing incriminating evidence on video used to be the tricky part. But these days everyone has a cell phone with a camera. The hardest part now is actually writing the letter. Making it juuuust right is so darn tricky.

But not anymore! Now with this postcard letter set, the days of trying to find the perfect letters, cutting them out with scissors, and clumsily gluing them to a card are over. Hooray!

Now you can easily find the perfect letters from a sheet of many beautiful fonts. Just peel off the letter and perfectly stick your threat with ease as each piece is self-adhesive for your swindling convenience.

Of course you don’t always have to use it for blackmail. Might we recommend shameless self-promotion?

You didn’t hear it from me, but this product takes the awkward time out of writing a ransom note as well. And hey, we can all use a little more quality time in our lives. Am I right people? Am I right?

Nevermind.

Nope. This isn’t about to go up in flames and have a tiger jump through it. This is actually a bladeless pedestal fan.

This bladeless pedestal fan uses the same technology found in jet engines to generate a soothing air stream without any blades. And when I try to think of how this could possibly work, I get flashbacks to that time when I disproved Einsteins theory of relativity. What what I thinking?

The bladeless fan produces a smooth, uninterrupted stream of air by the use of a turbine inside. Imagine a really large person blowing gently on your neck, non-stop for 24 hours, minus the creepyness. That’s what it feels like.

Despite that description it actually feels pretty good. And to top it off, you can stick your tongue, head, or any other extremity through it and it won’t matter!

Features:

• A dial allows smooth, continuous adjustment of air velocity
• The fan oscillates 80º, tilts 20º up or down
• Height adjusts from 46 3/4″-55 1/2″
• Includes a remote control and a 6 1/2′-long cord
• Developed by a genius. Possibly Eistein. But unlikely.

I’m sure it’s the dream of most men to walk around town with a Steel Drum playing the copa, copacabana. So here’s a cool take on the Calypso Drum for beginners, so you can learn all the hits quickly and easily, steel drum stylez.

Nope? Just me?

Alllllllllrighty then.

To convince you of the Calypso awesomeness here’s one of my favorite verses of Copacabana by Barry Manilow I copied and pasted from the world wides internets, as transcribed by “Robin Hood.” Clearly he appreciates a fine fine tune like myself:

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would meringue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa….they fell in love

On the verge of goosebumps people. On the verge.

Steel Drum Kit Features:

• Made by professional pan makers in Trinidad and Tobago
• This all-steel instrument is flame-tempered
• Hand-hammered to create the unique, dipped contour of the pan and the raised sections that form the notes
• Awesome

The only draw back is this kit is painted red. I’d have accepted orange, but red just doesn’t seem Copa to me. I’ll run it by Manilow and get back to you.

Update: Okay Manilow says Red is cool, very Copa he says, very Copa indeed.

Get your own Children’s Steel Drum Kit here

Update: No Dale from electronics, they don’t come in pink.
I came up with the idea to make these car emblems over 8 years ago for some side cash. I tried making the prototype the only way I knew how. Carved a transformers logo into a block of wood, melted metal with a blow torch and carefully poured it into the mold. Needless to say it was a disaster and I almost burned down the house in the process.

When I finally was able to pry out that hardened piece of junk I ended up with something that looked like a depressed ape that was attacked by a porcupine.

But now, 8 years later, I am finally able to own a nice looking Autobots AND Decepitcons car emblem without having to go to such great lengths. Sweet.

Wish I still had that car. Looks like I’m going as a transformer for Hallowe’en folks! Chur chu chug hah.

This Foggy Bubble Machine Maker is pretty sweet. It creates bubbles and fills them with smoke. But I know what you are thinking, perfect for Halloween, but that’s it. Right? Right? Nope.

This Bubble Machine maker can be used for tons of other things. Like weddings for example. Weddings always have those plain stupid bubbles going off all the time. That’s just lame. Most weddings are white, so make the bubbles white too.

How about scented bubbles? That’s right! You can mix in any scent you want with the liquid that makes the fog and presto! Scented bubbles. Imagine bubbles that smell like Vanilla when they are popped, or pina colada for a summer party. Now we’re talking.
