Comment on Easy Cap USB VHS to Digital Capture Adapter Tutorial by OneMoreGadgethttp://www.onemoregadget.com/easy-cap-usb-vhs-to-digital-capture-adapter-tutorial/comment-page-1/#comment-8615 OneMoreGadget Tue, 26 Apr 2011 04:10:09 +0000 http://gadgetguro.wordpress.com/?p=61#comment-8615 @Glen To reduce the audio noise, there's two ways to go about it. If you have a mac, try downloading "Soundflower" and turning off "mic" noise when you are recording. Also, try adjusting the Hz to see if that improves the quality. Another thing you can try is computer volume settings - if you record it at a higher volume, it tends to be sharper sound than recording it lower and having to pump up the volume after. Generally tape noise is a common problem when recording from a VHS but usually not too bad.If you are talking about visual noise, I like using a program called iSquint for mac. It's perfect for recording at a larger size, then automatically reducing it to a smaller size which in turn actually reduces the visual noise. Another thing is just using a good quality VCR with clean heads and an auto-tuning feature. This will automatically try to give you the best picture possible while it's playing to your computer. Also, Bootcamp comes with the mac, but it's for when you first install your OS on your new computer. You basically partition your drive into two parts, one for PC and one for Mac. That way you can start it in a genuine PC mode or a Mac mode when you startup your computer. It's better than "Parallel", which is a way you can view PC things in a window on your Mac Desktop. You can read about it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461 @Glen To reduce the audio noise, there’s two ways to go about it. My only problem is after recording the videos seem to have a lot of noise. I am wondering if there is a filter that will clean up the noise. While copying I was aware of the noise problem, I tried turning the volume almost all the way off and it did'nt seem to help.
