Thanks for your input Eroguy, most of what you say is true about trying before you buy.

However, I do own this chair (as well as many other gadgets reviewed on OneMoreGadget). I sit in this chair several hours each night and have for almost a year now. I unfortunately didn't get any incentives from HM for this review, I really like it, not just because it's orange but because it's adjustable and fits to my body.

I have a tall torso and it supports my back. Also, the chair is orange, therefore awesome. And I have sat in Aeron Chairs before and don't really like them to be honest. The Embody chair for me is the ultamite chair.

However, at the real end of the night, my couch is my favorite, and my latex bed is the bees knees.

I'm not going to shill for any specific brands, but before you buy a chair do some research. Any reputable dealer will provide you with a demo to sit in for a workday before making a purchase. Make sure its comfortable and properly adjustable, because if you work like most people in america you're going to spend a fair amount of time in it.

If you want a chair that simply looks stylish, you can find them for a hundred bucks or less at any office supply store (though it likely won't last that long). If you want an ergonomic chair thats going to prevent back injury and other RSI's, get a chair thats COMFORTABLE, not one thats over hyped by websites that receive incentives to promote a product.

Hm has a long history of valuing form over function. Unfortunately, its an idea that too many interior designers and office managers buy into. At least until their employees start trading out the $1k+ Aerons they bought for the crappy office chairs they had before because the Aeron is unbearable to sit in for 8 hours a day.

There are MANY reviews all over the internet on this chair, but NOONE seems to have actually sat in it, which is its primary function. Would you post a review of a laptop based solely on what the case looked like? Of course not.. This is no less ludicrous. Makes you wonder what kind of incentives HM is offering for these glowing reviews.
