Okay now I’m a believer, this is the future, a portable UV water purifier

Well, this certainly makes the water in Mexico a little less scary.*

One of the better and most useful travel gadgets on the market today, the water purifier takes the worry out of taking a sip of foreign beverages (yes even the ones with an umbrella). Its called the SteriPen Adventurer.

Independently tested by four universities, the SteriPen has been shown to destroy in excess of 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of viruses and 99.9% of protozoa

I dunno about you but I’m convinced. However, I do like bottled water, and I like my water to be slightly clear and not, well…brown.

If you are a super nerd, here’s some of the bacteria and thingies that this stuff will actually get rid of, oh yah, don’t bother scanning for ‘brown’, I already checked.

E. coli, Salmonella Typhimurium, Poliovirus, Rotavirus, Klebsiella terrigena, Streptococcus faecalis, Bacillus subtilis (vegitative and spore), common yeast, Coliphage MS2, Giardia and Cryptosporidum.

Isn’t that stuff in a pizza pop?

Just kidding, pizza pops rock.

Hit the jump to get your own awesome water purifier that makes you practically impervious to disease but not hangovers.

*No seriously, don’t drink the water in Mexico. My sister did once and she spent her vacation on the toilet.

A 9V battery for under 3 bucks

I’m pretty happy about finding these. It seemed that every time I wanted to listen to the hockey game on my old AM radio my duracell batteries were dead. I’d go to the store to buy the cheaper western family rip off brand and they cost 7 dollars each! And still, they run out just as fast. The ones I ordered were Eastpower 9 volt batteries, but I was shipped DBGold batteries.

These handy little batteries are about 2 dollars each, they are 9 volts too. So for whatever reason you’d need a 9V battery I’d recommend these. Just wanted to share these with the OneMoreGadget readers, hit the jump to get yours.

Ice Tumblers – glassware made entirely out of ice

A cup made of ice seems to work pretty well for keeping the drinks cold. Maybe this is more a summer item than a bar item?

This blue plastic tray is easy to use; just pour the water in and wait until it freezes. Its mostly a novelty gift more than something practical but if you know anyone that lives in Russia and has an ice bar then you may have just found the perfect gift. However, this probably would go hand and hand with a pair of leather gloves or some heated seats..possibly a coaster with an edge on it so you don’t drip on your lap? I dunno, but I like the idea of a glass I can eat anyways, certainly better than plastic cups. That crap is a pain to digest. If you know what I’m saying.

Probably the best thing you could own if you sell on ebay, a tabletop photo studio

Its not everything you need, the Camera is not included, but if you sell on ebay you need a good studio, trust me on this one. This is small but does the job. It gives you clean backgrounds with the best lighting and worth every penny.

The studio includes two backdrops to provide contrast for light and dark objects, a compact light box with an integrated diffuser screen, a tripod that extends to 16″ H and folds to 8 1/2″ H., and two 35-watt lights with adjustable, retractable legs. Backdrop folds flat for storage, and the set includes a handle and a built-in carrying case. 20″ L x 20″ W x 20″ H. (6 lbs.)

Yup that’s pretty sweet. I bet if you wanted you could even photograph a supermodel in it, just tell her she has to be good with fitting into small boxes. Shouldn’t be a problem if she is good at what she does. Probably wouldn’t even have to move the football.
